Lines of Mercy: the in-game report tool
The game has a Report button (F8) so you can tell us about bugs and problems. A report is only sent if you press Send, after you have seen exactly what will be sent.
What a report contains
- The tag and note you write.
- Game information: game version, time of the report, in-game day and time, current scene or story step, key game values and story flags, your last 20 choices, the last 50 lines of the game log, window size, and your operating system name and version.
- A screenshot of the game window only, and only if you tick the box.
- A random report ID, so you can ask us to delete a report.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, Steam name or Steam ID, your IP address, your computer's name, file paths, location, or any device identifier. We do not store your IP address. We do not use reports for advertising or share them with anyone for marketing. Please don't put personal details in your note.
Why, who and how long
We use reports only to find and fix problems in the game (legitimate interests). They are held by Terrible Games Limited, a company registered in the UK, trading as Amber Screen. Reports are stored with a service provider that hosts our report system, and a text-only copy may go to our private team channel. Reports are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted.
Your rights
To see or delete a report, email [email protected] with the report ID shown after you save it. We will reply within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
